While we are enjoying the joy and excitement of climbing and other high angle activities, we must not forget that some of the potential mishaps of such activities can be very disastrous if the immediate management is not appropriate.

Prepare for the unexpected. Learn the basics of rope access and rescue, you will be glad that you have learnt them when you have to use them...

We have standard courses teaching widely accepted rope access and rescue techniques (IRATA, TRARAHK), and also tailor made courses to suit specific individual situations. These are the life saving skills that you probably don't wish that you have the chance to use, but you will appreciate that you have learned them if they are called upon.

TRARA HK Introductory Rope Access and Rescue

The course aims to provide training on basic rope access techniques

developed from the rope-work system from work and rescue at height

and caving.

Duration:             not less than 6 hours

Class Size:         1-6 participants

Training Venue:   Lamma Island, or others

Course Fee:        HKD 850 (1-2 participants)

                          HKD 600 ( 2-6 participants) 

Course Content:

History & Background

Knowledge on Equipment

Knots: F8, F9, Alpine Butterfly

Rope Access Technique,

     Descending with STOP

     Ascending with Hand & Chest Ascenders

     Change-over from ascent to descent, and vice versa

     Passing knots during ascent and descent

TRARA HK Level I Rope Access and Rescue

The Course aims to provide further training on rope access techniques and basic rescue

Duration:             24 hours (normally in 3 days)

Class Size:         2 - 6 participants

Training Venue:   Lamma Island, or others

Course Fee:        HKD 2800 ( 1-2 participants)

                          HKD 2200 ( 2-6 particpants)　

Course Content:

Basic knowledge on the Standards & Certifications of Cat.3 PPE

Knots, DF8 on a Bight, Double Fishermen, Bowline, Other knots for joining two ropes

Basic Rigging Principals (theory),

     Different types of anchors, Y Hangs, Equalizing anchors, Isolating rope defects, Zero-rub rigging

Rope Access Technique (SRT),

     Revision and exercise on Intro RA skills

     Passing Deviations (ascend / descend)

     Passing Re-belays (ascend / descend)

     Rope Transfer ( switching from rope to rope)

     Horizontal Progression (Tyrolean traverses, Cable-ways)

     Diagonal Progression (angled descent / ascent)

     Aid Climbing (vertical / horizontal)

Basic Rope Rescue,

     To rescue an unconscious patient in a vertical descending mode
